Lake 75 in the Cotswolds

We are part of the Cotswold Lakes, a SSSI protected areaa, where there are over 200 lakes that have been created over the past few decades as gravel has been extracted.

We are a 21 acres of water with an island in the middle and about 30 acres in total.

There are plenty of fish in the lake but it is not stocked.  The waterbirds seem to think there is enough to feed them all.

Birdlife is varied and we count it monthly as part of a country-wide census. We also have a good amount of insects and dragonflies as well as deer and other animals.

All in all, a great spot to live!
